It's that time of year again. The time of year when we all look back at our year and reflect on how it went and how we can make things better next year. Often this means looking for inspiration through reading professional books. Two years ago, Cathy Mere, Laura Komos and I were chatting on Twitter about this very thing and decided to read a book together and share our thinking. That turned into the first #cyberpd book club. The first two books we read together were Conferring by Patrick Allen and Opening Minds by Peter Johnston. It is time to choose another book to read together this summer.
The process begins next Wednesday, June 12th, with everyone who would like to join in sharing their book stack or list of books that they hope to read this summer. You can share it by tweeting a photo of your book stack, writing a blog post about your book stack or leaving a list of the books you hope to read in the comment section of any of our blogs - Our Camp-Read-A-Lot, Reflect and Refine:Building a Learning Community, and here at My Primary Passion.
You can follow #cyberpd on Twitter to keep up with all of the lists and posts and new information on dates and the final book choice.
It has been so much fun to "meet" new people through #cyberpd and to share ideas with each other. I know that it always leaves me feeling refreshed and ready to head back to school with lots of new ideas to try. Please join us again this year. You won't regret it.
